toro sushi (#25)

there are not words to explain how fantastic toro sushi is. we knew this was a major crowd favorite, but really, toro is that good.

how it sizes up
: 4.5
atmosphere: teenie tiny. there are maybe 12 tables inside, meant to seat no more than four. a line forms outside around 7pm. it makes for a perfect after work spot.
showstopper: the sunny.
creativitay: with a huge menu, one might assume that their creativity would be sub par. not true. every roll wowed us. when they can make a salad into a roll (aki salad roll we believe it was called), and have it be so complete and fresh, you've got us.
would we go again?
: without a doubt. this may be my new go to take out spot.
misc: byo. no corking fee. definitely suggest public transit or walking. parking is far too tough around this area. and as a bonus, there is molly's cupcakes on the same block.

sushi mon (#24)

while babysitting this past saturday, sushi was on my mind after i put the little one to bed. granted this was a lone choice and will be my opinion only, i had to write about it because it was THAT good.

how it sizes up: 4
atmosphere: wish i could say, but judging from when i have walked by on several occasions, it's small but mighty.
showstopper: crazy roll. it's served in a half sushi/half sashimi fashion. such great flavor.
creativitay: the downside to getting take out is that i only had two rolls. both of which were very unique and really fresh.
would we go again?
: definitely.
misc: sadly, a delivery charge is what has kept me from ordering here in the past. i look forward to dining in and getting the full experience very soon.
